We are a non-profit chapter of Romance Writers of America focusing on developing and encouraging writing among our members. Many of them are multi-published authors, others are diligently working toward publication. Through a monthly newsletter, meetings, workshops, goal programs, mentor programs, critique groups, retreats, seminars, conferences, book signings, and other promotional events, we support our writers at all stages of their career.  Active in the community, we support local literacy groups.  We also host an annual writing contest, open to published  authors as well as unpublished writers, called: Hot Prospects.

NYT best-selling author Jennifer Ashley
Agents, Contracts, and Publishing

Seeking publication is a tough job. Jennifer Ashley knows this and is willing to share what she’s learned. Do you need an agent? If you say yes, do you know how to find one that will serve your needs best? Come hear her answers. You’ve polished and polished your manuscript and know it’s time to submit. What about multiple submissions? Can you do that or not? Can you make it work for you? Wow, you landed a contract. Now what? Will the editor want changes? What should you insist on having in the contract? What can you live with and still get published? From a beginner to a writer who has made it to New York Times lists, she has a lot advice to offer. Don’t miss this chance. Come prepared to take notes as you listen.
